Whilst on a trip to New York City I ventured to find the legendary "White Horse Tavern". This pub is infamous for being the place where Dylan Thomas imbibed his 18 whiskey shots before returning to the Chelsea Hotel - room 205 (Bob Dylan eventually lived opposite in 211) and passing into a coma. He was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital where he passed on.

If you are not particularly interested in writers then I would give this bar a miss. Apart from the obvious it didn't have that much to recommend itself.
